Yes... measure twice. Also check to make sure your plate doesn't overlap your trailer plug.

Edit: TW decided to reorder the images and delete my captions.Oh well, there it is. I didn't have a problem with the metal tabs on my trailer hookup harness, just barely wiggled it with a flathead and they both popped right in, snug as a bug. Have a little bit of play with the "extra" wiring too, so that's a bonus.

It's raining again, so I'll holding off on drilling and mounting the flip up bracket.

Same here. Stuck a small flat head screwdriver between the metal tab and the plug body, and it popped out with a satisfying click.

I’ll be watching for the Gen2 version of that bumper. RCI is only about 50 miles from me. I’ll pick it up and save the freight.

I'll be honest I ordered powder coat cuz I was feeling lazy it was concerned I wouldn't be able to do a good job with the paint. The paint job I've done on my sliders looks bang up and I wish I had saved a couple bucks and got in the bumper bare metal as well. The powder coat is a little easy to knock off so you got to be extra careful while installing it.

are these midnight lights offered from RCI?

also how are the lights provided from RCI hooked up to work? do you have to run wire to the battery like with ditch lights or do they connect to some oem harness back there and come on when your tail lights come on when you press the brakes???

You need to run your own wiring (included), if you use the provided harness. You could also wire them in parallel with your reverse lights after checking the OEM wire gauge and fusing.

Get the lights. I got the cover plates instead, and while they look good, the hardware started rusting immediately. Will probably replace them with JDM stainless fender bolts.

PS: it's just the hardware for the cover plates. The actual bumper uses the factory hardware which is more than adequate.

I have not mounted my switch yet. I’ve got a wiring plan that I’m going to get to when the weather improves that involves other devices as well. Most find a way to mount it in the little cubby on the left. A few companies sell adapter plates.

If you're going to wheel it I do not recommend line x.

Bed coatings are great for beds, the snag on rocks and other debris, fade under uv exposure, and are nearly impossible to repair without it looking terrible once you do scrape something.

Looks great! IMO, RCI has the best looking factory replacement on the market. I’ve been happy with RCI products and service in the past.

It does look awesome. It's nice when things look almost factory, when you need to take a second look at something to make sure.

I get a lot of compliments on the bumper, but mostly people don’t notice it because it is not obviously aftermarket. It’s held up to a salty winter with no rust, so the RCI powder coat is good so far.

Edit: the areas where I’ve scraped the bumper on rocks have surface rust, but the powder coat finish itself has been very good.

They website says “20lbs heavier than stock”. That seems about right to me, so I don’t doubt it. I don’t know the actual weight, but I could install this bumper by myself, so it’s not crazy.
