Any way to order the skid without the RCI logo? I prefer the my truck debadged, including skids.

I installed my set of three in steel today. I went to Home Depot and got 6 inch Carriage screws and used them in place of the 5 inch screws. The 5 inch barely had any threads in the nut with the cat bar, spacer bar, transmission skid, and transfer skid all stacked on there. It was much easier to start the nut on with the 6 inch screw and its not going to hit anything with an inch sticking up

I'm very pleased that you kept the cat bars there for extra protection. I've already smashed them up once

You are suppose to remove that CAT bar in order for everything to fit properly. That wasn't explained very well in the directions, however it looks like you found a good workaround.

The last line of the directions for *2016 says to stack the cat bar with the spacer bar. I read it many times.

Without exhaust reroute. And we are currently unsure if the cat bars were designed by RCI to be left or removed

It would all sit flush to that cross member if it had a proper reroute. I didn't feel like chopping up a <1 year old truck to exhaust reroute

Gotcha, you might give Josh a call at RCI, he is usually very helpful to answer these questions and get everything squared away.

I know they changed the instructions and I may have gotten an old one. Mine said remove for 3rd gen and when I did it all fit properly.

I think I have updated instructions but it says to remove the four screws for the cat bar and then says to use the hardware and stack the cat bar back in place. I like having them there, they are large and strong, so adding the 6 inch screw wasn't a big deal to me. Also, the spacer bar fits right into the bracket on the cat bar where it attaches to the cross member.

I have the directions in the truck. I will get them later

I hate to bump an old thread, but I can't find the answer. Is the metal bent much differently on the exhaust reroute vs no.

Like if I go no reroute then in the future reroute do I have to buy the new transfercase skid or is it like a spacer i can remove?

    Thanks

Same as others, my instructions said to remove cat bars.

No links, you will have to call them. I tossed mine after installing skids.

You know whats wierd, if you go on RCI's website and look at the skid pics. You will see that the cat bars are removed on the pic of the painted and bolted skids, and another pic of the skid plate in with the cat bars on, but the skid isn't painted or bolted.
