Would you mind sharing some details? Did you cut and weld these yourself? Any advice? There's another member on here that makes them, but he will only sell them as part of a new skid, or you have to drive to him to switch skids. I'd like to be able to buy some side plates and have a local muffler shop weld them on.

I’ll eventually get a catalytic shield. Hopefully no one jacks my cat in the meantime

Considering to get a cat shield as well, are you planning to drill the holes on the frame to secure the cat shield?

I found a local welder to do the work from one of my Facebook groups. He did a pretty good job especially with the welds. Here some more photos after I brought it home to paint.

Yup, I was expecting to see some basic spot welds. That is some very detailed/meticulous work. Mind telling, how much did the welding run you?

Nice. So did he also fabricate the pieces, or did you supply that? Can I ask how much he charged so I can at least get a baseline of what I should expect to pay?

Sorry for all the questions but really want to get this done on my ride as well.

Looks great! That’s some solid deterrent. No one will bother after seeing this.

I do have to say tho, that your skid isn’t mounted properly. Those washers are suppose to be on top of both skids and not between them. This is my RCI set up. Skids should run completely flat

Everything was fabricated by my welder. He had all materials too. He only asked for $100, but I gave him $110 because he went above and beyond what I was originally asking. There was another welder that wanted $200 so ymmv.

Is that to aid in cooling the cats?

You know I thought something didn't feel right when I was installing them. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll get fixed soon.

Might have to copy this idea. Instead of buying full skids, I can just purchase the "Transmission" Skid Plate and ask a fabricator to add this?
