I'm wanting put a good skid plate on, get rid of the tinfoil, and I like the RCI offerings. My question is, is it easy to change the oil filter thru the access panel on the RCI skid plates? I don't want to have oil spilling all over on top of the plate steadily dripping off , call me OCD, tree hugger or whatever. LOL

I have it and there’s zero difficulty accessing the filter for oil changes (and it’s mess free).

It’s much easier than with the stock pie tin. I have no regrets from my RCI purchases.

Same. Love mine too. Filter is no problem to change. Totally spill free if you put a hose on the part that threads into the housing that drains it first. Some use a Futomo valve on the drain plug and do the same thing too. I had one and it leaked so I went back to the standard plug.

Thanks y'all for your responses & info. I think I read somewhere in the forum they'll have a fall sale, so I may wait till then, but it's definitely the brand I'm going with now, thanks again

    Easy peasy.

For the oil pan plug, you might want to think about a Fumoto value. It will be recessed behind a hole in the armor, so its protected. And I find that it just makes things even easier.

For the filter there is a door you remove by taking off two bolts.

Bottom line: its easy with the RCI armor.
