Just finished prepping my RCI sliders and I'm about to attempt the install. I've heard some bad stories of the bolts/holes not lining up properly on the 2017 Tacoma's. Any help or advice... photos of an install would be very helpful!

The only way to tell is to start bolting them on and see. My install went super smooth, about 1 and 1/2 hours total with an extra hand. All bolts lines up perfect on my 16. I doubt there will be any issues for you considering I've only seen 1 thread about this issue you're referring to.

Good luck  and let us know if you run into complications. Plenty of people to help and chime in here with RCI sliders.

Smooth install on mine. No issues. Just make sure you line up the right holes if you start in the center.

There's one hole near the front on each side that had a plug . Remove that one first.

Also spend the extra coin and upgrade to 1/2" grade 8 hardware with square washers.

if you have jack stands it helps to hold them in place.

Or ideally get a second set of hands to help cause those things are awkward to install alone lol.
Or some how grow a third hand overnight

I installed mine alone. It wasn't fun.

Yes, get a buddy like Joe said. I could imagine holding the slider in place while blindly threading bolt to nut with washers on the opposite side of the frame would be a biotch.

Yep, have jack stands and a lift, so hopefully I can get it done alone. I do have some good neighbors that will work for beer.... I can call in the cav if I need them.

When I did mine I put it on the stands to hold the weight

Then put one bolt very loosely in the front then the rear. The rear bolt should have a larger opening so you can have all the hardware in and just turn it into position. Finally got all them in and tightened up.

Roger, appreciate the info! I’ll be glad when I’m done and can move on to my next upgrade project.

Done!! Will upload some pics tomorrow. Not fun doing it alone but project complete. Put my softopper on before the sliders and now the frontrunner rack is next.
