I stand corrected. I was looking at the side tubing and not the box tubing. The side profile isn't that much longer than any other option out there. Now I see that they did what @Mobtown Offroad was describing and mitered the ends of the box tubing. So yes, they're technically full length.

The reason they gave me (I had the same concern) was because the support on the frame ends and pushing it further back would leave it without enough support to make it sound.

I would rather have the rock sliding/resting on a piece of steel that’s lacking somewhat in support versus coming down on the body of the truck.

Makes sense to me. I've already got scratch lines in the paint on each slider leg from them bending into the rocker panel seam, let alone if they made them even longer. Not knocking RCI for this either. Had the same thing happen to my weld on sliders on my 1st gen.

One thing I'll give credit to Mobtown and their heavy duty sliders is the leg extension on the back.

Get bigger tires, less gap between the sliders :sawzall:

Happy? No because your acknowledgement seems insincere.

You came to the forum for help, but get testy with anyone who feels you should have taken some personal responsibility.

Maybe you got the help you needed with various members calling you out.

When she found out my slider was shorter than she expected it to be she went with another brand with thicker/longer stock.

They definitely seem to prefer full coverage.

I’m comfortable with my sliders. Worst case will be when they see them, giggle and point at the mall.

Yeah, because that's a end all excuse that calls for ending any and all discussion.

It's reasonable to assume they will be full lenght. What good are short ones? Makes no sense.

Are they priced lower enough to make logical sense?

Personally, I didn’t even think about the length of these when I ordered them from RCI. I bought them because they are very well made, have the 5* option and dimpled top plate so it’ll still work as a step up for my petite wife. The four inch lift is tough on the pencil skirt, but very entertaining for me!

They are mostly all short ones, it seems. Maybe the TW hive-mind has no fucking idea how to make a functional slider?.......just maybe.....there are some top fellas from NASA here I’m sure.
