DCSB using Mobtown and did a rock drop front passenger. Fender is about 1/8" out of whack and that's it the only damage.

That didn't answer the question, which was
    "Stocklocker said:
Are any sliders “tire to tire”?"

But looking at the Mobtown site, not one of their Tacoma photos show tire-to-tire coverage.

Comparing your pictures to my doublecab and using the front door lines and rear fender dimensions. My Mobtown sliders look to be 3-4” longer.

Looking at the website at RCI, non of those really do a good job showing this, it would be difficult to compare prior to purchase.

I could be off though since I’m eyeballing it

It doesn't, just giving an example of some that do their job and maybe it would help someone who has some and can post pics. Y'all are ornery.

Yeah I don't get it. Most people (myself included), didn't even know this was a thing. So when there's no full on profile pic, it never even becomes something that registers. A bit decietful imo.

This is why I answered it. I don't have that answer, but now we know it's not 100% necessary through my experience.

So I went and measured. My sliders are 80.5” long.

I assume RCI is probably in the 77-78 range.

You’re wife may care about 3” but your truck won’t. I think the risk to those areas is pretty low but understanding your vehicle and it’s capabilities is more important.

Pick your lines so you aren’t putting the truck in an at-risk position and leverage the use of those sliders. They are designed to be dragged and dropped so use them to their capacity knowing that all trucks and mods have limitations.

I’m not. I’m sure they both do the same job. Are the mobtown longer?

    You guys are ruthless

I dont think he was necessary bashing them. Maybe just pointing out something he didnt notice prior to purchasing.

To be fair. How many of you world class "researchers" have bought something only to find it wasn't was you expected or needed and having to replace or return it? o_O

Lay off the guy. You all aren't perfect either lol.

For the OP, yes you should have done more research to see they weren't full length, but I think they look great and should work well for the protection you need
