Usually sandwiched between the left wing and the right wing. ;)

We certainly aren’t in the Flyway here either, but we are much closer than you. We get the stragglers. I kill them anywhere I can find them.

Noticed you've been having trouble with 4wp. They lost a tire? I've never like that company but that's who I ordered my wheels and tires from because they came out $200 cheaper than anyone else. After 2 weeks of waiting because the tires were back ordered, I was told today by the manager that "They will deffinatly be here on Wed, but maybe Friday by the latest.":frusty: But then proceeds to tell me that the procomp 16x7 52 series rims I ordered are completely out of stock and they don't know when more will be avalible. It's been 2 weeks and they are just now telling me this.:angrygirl: :censored:

He swapped me out for the 16x8 rims but from looking here on TW, it seems that won't fit over the brake calibers. Couldn't find any info on the 16x7 about fitment issues. 4wp website says they should fit but it said the same for 16x8 and that the 16x7 are still in stock, so I've lost all faith in them.

Since you have experience running 255, what steel wheels do you know will fit on my truck on 8 or 7 inch wide wheels? I'm at the point where I'm ready to cancel the order for the wheel and go elsewhere with the tires.

Dang that sucks. Most of my experience has been buying through their website. I keep coming back because they are so cheap. Ha ha.

Any 16” wheel should clear the stock calipers. I mean, many many many of these trucks came with 15” wheels from the factory. What source told you it wouldn’t fit? I say that’s bullshit.

Now if you’re planning to run tundra brakes, that’s a different story. From what I understand, some 16s will clear them and some won’t. All I can tell you is that a Stock steel spare will clear tundra brakes. So will a 2nd gen 16” alloy. So will my current ProComp whatever model they are Gideon’s sloppy seconds.

I'd have to dig and search again because I don't remember which thread I saw it in. But it was member on here or ttora who had bought them for a 02 and said the weld on the rim will hit the caliber and rubbed. He was saying he had to grind about 1/8 off the caliber and that is not something I'm willing to mod. But I'm with you. My stock tire size on the door says 225/75/15, so I feel any 16 should clear no problem. I'll try the wheel "if" they ever make it to Nashville and just return them for a refund if they don't fit.

That whole company is a bunch of clowns. I've used them only a hand full of times (usually starts online but a problem always arises and I end up on the phone with customer service.) I have never talked to one person who seems like they cared about customer service. They all just have that tone like they hate their job and don't give 2 shits about you.

And I won't ever take a vehicle to the nashville location to have work done. I was changing a broke spring on one of the garage doors and over heard a manager telling a tech to "Just put it back together. He wheels the jeep, so when it breaks, we'll just tell him it was from off-roading." Don't know what part it was in reference to but it was clear that they had messed up the install and were trying to hide it. Now this was a few years back, so management could have changed in that time. But it has always left a bad taste in my mouth for that place and I'll never take anything to that shop. Even with the cheap prices, I don't think I'll ever be back. Its worth it to pay more and not deal with this BS.

Sorry to hijack you build thread. I just needed to vent for a sec.

Are you sure the person who’s build you were looking at wasn’t running 13WL tundra brakes? That’s my bet.

No need to apologize. It’s sad. Really and truly pitiful.
