Hey! Where did you get it done? It's been a while, do you feel it was done correctly, or sloppily?

Hard to find people who actually know what they're doing instead of just saying they can and then doing shit work.

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
I got it done at a local shop in Morgantown WV, If you want the actual name I can dig it up.

They did a good job. I haven't noticed any problems. The only issue, I guess if you can call it that, is the gears whine on the highway. But most people with 5.29s have reported that.

That would be perfect. I live like 5 minutes from Morgantown.

Do you feel like the shop could handle something like a cab mount relocate as well?

I couldn't say if they would do a cab mount relocation, you would have to ask them. BTW a little over a year ago when I had my gears done I asked if he had done a 3rd gen regear job and he said he had done several. So he does have experience with our trucks.

I am not sure what ratio you are going with but I can tell you one thing............... A magnuson SC pushing 5.29 gears will put you back in your seat LOL....... but you will be running at about 2200RPMs at 70MPH (With 33" tires). And for offroading I LOVE the 5.29 gears. Also it offsets the additional wear and tear entroduced by the added power from the SC.

Thanks man, I'll be going with 5.29's. haven't heard any buddy regret them yet, but have seen plenty regret the other. How bad is the diff whine? Has it gotten better?

Hummmmm ya maybe it is a little better than when I first got them....... or I just got use to the sound. The whine isn't too bad, heck mud tires are a lot louder.
