No if you are a 6 lug you have 4.10's. If you are a 5 lug, you have 3.30's or 3.xx's (I can't every remember that 2nd ratio but it is a lower number than 73.)

Depends. Are you a 5 lug or 6 lug. If you are a 5 lug I would try to find somebody getting rid of some 4.10's. Try calling Just differentials or East Coast Gear Supply they may have a used set they can sell you for cheap. If you are a 6 lug I may just go straight to 4.88's.

6 lugs come stock with 3.73s

    5 lugs have 4.10s stock.

and the Toyota 4.10s will not work with TRD O/R packages because they have 8" diffs.

The 4.10s come outta 8.4" diffs (base, SR5 and TRD Sport)

Just looked around some and I'd guess you have the 3.31 factory gears since that puts you at 2200 rpm at 75mph with the stock 215/70/15's. 4.10's with the 31/10.50/15's will get you up to about 2350 rpm which is a little over factory so considering the extra weight of the 31's it will likely feel about the same as stock.

All V6's are 6 lugs and have 3.73's factory except the X-runners that are 5 lugs and have 3.15's.

4 cylinders can vary. 4wd's and Prerunners are 6 lug and have 4.10's. 5 lugs are 2wd and come with 3.31's commonly and one other ratio that I can't remember... might be 3.15's.

There are a few exceptions in here though I'm sure.

Haha.. Might I be that guy??

Actually Digiratus (Mike) had his truck there, too.

Worked it down to $2k.. And no tax since I'm an Alaskan. Sold my 4.10 third for $500, subtract that, too.

Had to replace my collar seal on the ARB and new bearings in the front diff. Oh, and they swapped my 886s out for me too.

I'd highly recommend either company; ECGS buys all of their gear sets from Nitro (Just Differentials/JTs).

Stay far, far away from anything offered by 4Wheel Parts, it is absolute garbage. When it's all said and done, plan on spending about $1200/Axle. To do it the right way..

+2... If you don't know what to buy to re-gear your truck, you probably
shouldn't attempt setting up your own gears.
