    Hi peeps,
Since the lift and tires were installed I've lost a lot of the get-up and go, and the in-town mileage is complete shit.
I've decided to go with ECGS 4.56 prebuilt 3rd and front clamshell.
Cost is about the same as buying just gears and will obviously be much easier.

Question is, I want to add the ARB locker to the rear since it will be out anyway, but not sure If I can justify it.
admittedly I don't really need it right now but it will be something I'd want later.
The ARB install and setup looks like a P.I.T.A so do you think it makes sense just to have it put in now?
it adds $875 to the cost of the project :/
The total cost for both diffs and all the upgrades including locker is around $2250
which is pretty good, but it'd be closer to $1400 w/o the ARB

    What think?

There is no comparison to wheeling with a locker. Less speed required for obstacles and less damage to suspension.

Why not just buy the gear set and get a gear shop to install it and the locker at the same time?

pretty much cost and simplicity, If I buy the gear set by itself it's 1235.00 plus the locker is $990 if i get it from ARB. that puts it at 2235, then add on cost of installing the gears, pulling the 3rds and having the truck down for multiple days, etc

Does it have to be ARB? what about having them add something like the Spartan locker? I know some brands are more streetable than others but maybe they got something. part of the ARB expense is the air system.

Nothing beats a front /rear Detroit locker set up !!!
