I originally had it painted red. I didn't like it much so I decided to color match it instead. I think it looks 1000 times better.

    White does look better.
I would suggest a white shifter knob then you would be set!

That's already on my endless list of wants. I'm going to get one eventually. Whenever I can afford a short shifter I will probably do that at the same time.

Question what kind of paint did you use? Any prep work done or spray and pray?

Dupli-color perfect match primer, super white II base coat and clear coat. I scuffed then wiped down with isopropyl alcohol and sprayed 2-3 coats of each. I baked them in the oven after the primer, once again after the base coat and then one final time after the clear coat. I baked at 200 degrees for 5 minutes each time. Baking isn't necessary but it helps a lot. Hope this helps.

How did you apply it? Is this a rattle can or spray gun? Is there duplicolor match for other tacoma paint codes?

The white looks awesome. Much better than the red. I have a black truck so OEM painting my interior would be boring. I'm jealous haha.

It's a rattle can. They had a few different ones at advance auto parts. If they don't have the one you're looking for you can probably get it on line.

I hated the red and that's my favorite color. It was just way too much. Thanks for the compliments. I have a lot of experience painting. Painting is a big part of my job as a fabricator in the Air Force. I have spent a lot of time in a paint booth. It's a lot easier with an HVLP gun though.

I agree... white looks much better than red. Good job on the paint work.
