    Good point. Deleted. Finally a day off and I get to play with my S/C goodies. Finally installed a new aeromotive fuel pump to prep and slowly installing the Maggy bolt on parts. Whoever said running a new fuel pump makes it feel like a new car (might be no one, but internet hearsay) was a huge disappointment :rolleyes:.

    Cease and desist all oil debating! This is NOT the mod thread (and no mod does not stand for moderators, lol). If we blow up our engines due to lack of maintenance then that sucks, but then it is all the more reason to do a LS swap.

    youll notice a difference when you push it hard. i had a 2.7 on for a couple weeks before doing mine. even with a meth spray i noticed an immediate change after.

    That's what I like to hear. Jumping directly to 2.7 when I install but no meth spray or 7th inj. I'll install a wideband to see if it's breaking up on WOT but it seems general consensus that 2.7 and 455cc injectors were holding up. Wish I had a way to check inj duty cycle... I asked U R D what numbers were like but he skirted past the answer. Any neg experiences? Or am I doomed?

    Ordered a tester, doing some more research but hope to do this next weekend
    Yes sir i do, they have been looking solid. Hovering around 180-185* and never getting hotter than that. I do assume if i ran it long enough with this problem that it would cause overheating since the coolant isnt returning to the radiator. Just lucky i caught it early i guess. Hope to learn more in the next few days.

    also why i thought t-stat. could a malfunction cause this?

    my meth gauge shows idc. youll be fine. stock injectors, trd tune, and a 2.5 at sea level were fine on mine.

    The only thing I had to program was for the trans temp which I think I got from @12TRDTacoma in a random thread. Other than that you just select which gauges you want, you cab make like 6 or 8 pages, each page can have up to 8 readings.

    I've customized some pages but, IIRC, they're all laid out like this

    What UG do you have? You should be able to select 8 gauges and it should automatically format the page. If not I think in page settings you can change it to 8 gauges.

    That's a good question! I've had it a while, so I'm not sure, but I THINK it's an UltraGauge EM. I'll have to try configuring 8 gauges on a page... Thanks!

    No problem! I have the MX 1.3 I think. It may be a 1.2 not sure, I got it with my first taco many years ago now as you can see by the screen not being in the best condition. Now that I think about it I do think you have to go to the page settings and change it to 8 in order for it to show all 8 gauges.

    I don't have an Ultra or a Scangauge so I wouldn't know how to program for trans temp. Are you sure you got it from me? I don't recall mentioning anything regarding programming.

    I can admit to that, quite a few times. It all depends on the various pumps and contaminants that were transferred from those to tanks into the owners' tanks. I changed them, they came back with a surprised and happy demeanor of clear and obvious improvement. Vocalizing such.

    the scan gauge i briefly had picked up trans temp. on a stock motor with mild temps mine stayed a consistent 192*.

    Im not sure but it seems like if the tstat was causing an issue it wouldnt open up and thatd cause overheating or it would stay open and then that wouldnt allow it to get up to operating temps. Thats just me thinking through it though, im not sure that is 100% correct

    im not sure at all. just thought id suggest it as its an inline component. i was thinking a possible blockage.
