Afe pro dry s awesome filter, actually traded in a 2014 Tundra and this fit in my 2016 Tacoma.Called afe to make sure and they were the same part numbers.I vacuum it out every few months and wash it out really good once a year.Cost was around 60.00 off Amazon.

Why would you want to reuse an air filter? I just bought 4 OEM air filters for $24, which equals 4 X 3 = 12 years or 4 X 30,000 miles = 120,000 miles. Not using a new filter has the chance of dirting the MAF sensor and IMHO isn't worth it.

My truck had less than 1,000 miles filter was brand new that's why. I meant not to throw out a decent filter. Now if it needs to go than that's another issue.

My post was about the topic of buying re-usable filters and not reusing a filter that has 1000 miles.

Why would you want to buy a reusable an air filter? I just bought 4 OEM air filters for $24, which equals 4 X 3 = 12 years or 4 X 30,000 miles = 120,000 miles. Not using a new filter has the chance of dirting the MAF sensor and IMHO isn't worth it.

You stated, "I vacuum it out every few months and wash it out really good once a year.", which is a waste of time and not worth the effort.

I agree with that statement, but would rather:

A.) Spend less of my money.

B.) Not have to, "I vacuum it out every few months and wash it out really good once a year."
and what happens when it's winter time and -3 degrees outside, will you still be out there vacuuming?

C.) You may be good at vacuuming and washing an air filter, but why do something that can potentially cause harm when there is no need??

I never said you weren't open to others experiences, just stating a few facts.

I'm not as you stated, "bring it on" (lol - whatever that was for), just trying to help people that think these reusable filters will save them money and are a smart choice, when in fact it's the opposite for both.

    Peace and enjoy your Thanksgiving,
    Mark

So other than the one site I posted I cannot find any other place to compare this price to. I can spend days trying to find things on the net,but with little success. poor research skills I guess. I would be grateful if anyone can post additional sites.
