    Thanks for the link.

Here is another test for you.

In my search on filters for my 2017, 3.5 I found this and some other threads and this test.
    http://www.billswebspace.com/AirFilterTest.htm
Yes, it was not done on a Tacoma but still an air flow, dirt trapping, etc test.

Just ran the last tank of fuel with a $60.00 K&N. Noticed no difference. Maybe even less MPG.
I certainly didn't like the low performance when comes to trapping dirt in the test in the link.
aFe (advanced Flow engineering) wasn't much better.
I put the OEM filter back in this morning with a fuel fill up and watching the performance #'s again

I replaced my paper filter with a re-usable one, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CH5YR7M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The paper filter appeared to be new and clean. Running the exact same route and filling at the same pump at the same gas station, with the paper filter I got 16.5 mpg. With the reusable filter, plus a passenger and a box of stuff in the bed that probably weighed 30 pounds, 18 mpg including some idle time and running the A/C for about 5 minutes (had to wait in the truck in driving rain for my wife for about an hour...got very humid so I ran the A/C)
