    Open the door?

I think that's what I used to do before I installed sliders

Either an old Kik Step Stool (Google it) I snagged at a used office furniture place or my painters bench.

do you mean side assist steps, side steps?

I am going to get some installed along with a fiberglass tonneau cover.

but I could use my 4 ft ladder or either buy a long handle brush as well

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I used a folding chair before I got my sliders. I would have to move it 4 times to wash the top with a wash mitt

I use to stand on either the step bars I had or I'd open the door and stand in there. Or I'd get in the bed of the truck.

yup that's what I did first time I washed it since I've had it about a wk.

but a fiberglass tonneau is going on though and also side assist steps.

so either the side steps, or buy a long handle brush, or my 4 ft ladder :)

even with a 4 ft ladder I will buy a brush with a decent length handle

Tube steps are too close to the body for you to work from well.

I'd never use any brush on any paint I cared about. Only a mitt or sponge for me.

Did you even look up the painter bench I mentioned? Much easier to work with than a ladder.

any brush I get will be thick and soft and ofcourse you gotta caress with it and be careful to not let the hard part of the brush hit anything :)

I will take a look at now. With a ladder and brush with an extension I should be fine tho

Do not use a brush on paint! The "hard part" is the least of your worries. you will install swirls. I just open the doors or stand in the bed. That will change once I get sliders.
