A series of bad events, good story at least you can look back and laugh now. Now you can see the need for some proper basic equipment to have around the house, time to update the garage with some tools of the trade if you’re going to continue down that path of bashing knuckles on your rig.
Thanks for the entertainment it made my morning.

    I liked this story.
My sway bar is off and sitting in the corner of my garage forever.
So ... When are you going to change your sparkplugs?
Looking forward to hearing about your next mechanical endeavour.

PS; I won't let my ex-wife anywhere near my truck.

Just curious what is wrong with cinder block / wood / jack arrangement? Too many interfaces? While rotation tires, I've jacked up the front end of my truck with a floor jack (back axle on jack stands) and used a cinder block with wood on top as a safety under the front frame cross brace in case the jack let go while a wheel was removed. Is that unsafe? What's a better alternative?

First thing that comes to my head: Cinderblocks have all that dead space in the middle. Crack a cinderblock, and that is gonna have some VERY significant consequences.

That is much safer than a cinder block

I've always kept the holes vertical, with a thick board that's as wide as the block. Even though the wood distributes the weight across the block, the block has no flex at all. I actually cracked the block last time I used it because the road surface wasn't as flat as it looked. But the way I positioned it, it was less likely to crumble or collapse in on itself, but the risk is still there.
