Readneck Srut Compressor?

So two country boys got around to installing a 3" blisten coil over lift on a 2012 Tacoma.
In the mist of a case of "stag" and tearing the front end apart we realized our "spring compressor" we have used on every lift we have ever done would not work as the new springs coil size was to close together. ( must be why they have strut compressors ).

Sooooooo. What do you do when you don't have a "strut compressor"......... Not the safest way to do this but it worked.......SLOWLY!

But then again, I'm the guy that got my head smashed by an engine. Not sure if my opinion on safety matters means much.

 

I don't know, it seems pretty legit. At least they had the forethought to tie the strut off in the direction that it would allow the damn thing to hit them.

 

Paging @billyjack12 , we need some detailed information and your whereabouts so we can stay far enough away to not be eviscerated by flying springs and struts.

 

They're still trying to figure out how to get the nut on the strut so they can lift the tractor off it.

ummm you could have just put the parts on the truck, and used a floor jack under the lower control arm.

 

That would've made entirely too much sense.

 

Looks like a good way to end up with a shattered leg.
