I have a 2012 DCLB Prerunner, it's downright a mall crawler and was wondering if all the bad things I hear about readylift would still be considered bad given my driving tendencies? It will be on asphalt 99% of the time and maybe every now and then park in gravel. I plan on getting the ReadyLift 69-5056 3'' Front 2'' Rear. And if if i do put this spacer lift on, will i still need a driver side top spacer to correct taco lean?

Do it right the first time. You could put the spacer lift on, but I suspect you'll regret it.

Whatever you do, let us know how it goes.

And yes you would still need to 1/4inch spacer for the lean.

Go with a suspension lift at first, I had the ready lift and completely regret it now that I do have a suspension lift

seems as though everyone is against the spacer lift...
is it just cuz the ride quality? can't i just put in new shocks when budget opens up?

I ran spacers and blocks for 2 years, nothing wrong with them if you don't wheel. After I started breaking struts and busting shocks I went with OME. The only downfall is limited downtravel and it will ride like a tank.

If you don't have the money now, wait until you do. Two buddies of mine have spacer lifts and regret it after about 2 weeks. Listen to others..especially ones who ran spacers, regretted it and realized they should have done it right the first time. They essentially had to buy two lift kits..they are trying to help you only buy one..and the right one.

thanks guys. i like the one guy that stood up for it lol. i did a ton of research and was gunna do the 5100's all around with EMU springs and new UCA's, but the owner at the truck shop was quite convincing about the readylift for whatever reason... said i won't need new UCA's and it would ride like stock.

If you want OME springs, get OME shocks.
If you want 5100s, get eibach springs.

And yes, I know people rung 5100s/OME springs, but the 5100s are not valved for the OME spring rates. Buy a lift kit that works together.

do it right the first time. I had spacers on for 2 days, hated it, went with toytec 5100's with eibach springs, aal and 5100s in the back, she still rides a little ruff, but its a lifted truck, im sure my E rated mud tires dont help either, but hell she looks good.

Huh? You can get plenty of decent lifts for under $1k that are good lifts, OME, Billie/Eibach, etc.

i got 5100's on 2.5 stock coils. figuring id need a set of eibachs ($200) will get me to ~2.6" w/5100's on .85, then need 1/2" top plate spacers ($80), then would need uca's (minimum $400) ok so under $700 not a grand. Disregard my negativity :bananadead:

If you're trying to improve the looks of the truck but don't want to spend much money, go with Bilstein 5100s set at 1.75 in the front, and upgrade the rear to some matching 5100s. The truck will sit nice and level, ride better than the factory suspension, and you won't need control arms.

If you decide down the road you want to go up a little higher, you can buy some Eibach springs and an add-a-leaf to raise it up a little bit more without needing to buy all new parts.

I did the the 5100's, eibachs and top plate spacer you speak of, and kept stock uca's with alignment in speck (posted it for another member who asked me to prove it, keyboard warriors these days, lol). If you know a good mechanic you can get her in spec right at 3 inches with stock uca's. Dont worrry Im king of the negative nancies. Nickname is squidward at work.

Also look at fatbobs if you want to save some cash I spent the money on the toytec for my tacomas but then found out about fatbobs and went with them for my tundra and I couldnt be happier with the lift and the money saved.
