Yes...very! Be advised though that even with the guide arms beat up some and the reroute/s, putting the 285/17/70 spare up there is still a little tight. You are going to pay more than a Midas hack job...but Rich did excellent work and I would do it again. Texas law regarding exhaust says it must exit outside the passenger compartment. Since my Son's truck has a shell that becomes part of that compartment...legally. If you keep your bed open you have a little more wiggle room.

Thanks! So, you had a reroute done for the spare area too? I was just thinking about doing the reroute around the transfer case, but am also might put some 33 inch skinnies on in the future. For that, I was wondering if I could have Rich put a heat shield between the exhaust and the spare. Did you move the exhaust away from the spare area? Thanks again for your help.

Had him move the radius aft of the muffler to swing the pipe further away from the spare and closer to the leaf spring, exiting the stock location. The "shield" that was already near the spare on this 2018 was moved to face the transfer case solenoid on the other reroute. Talk to Rich, he will remember. Sorry didn't take any pictures folks. Our young Man is gone now, but I will try and get some shots for the forum next time he drives through.

This may be rude, you're welcome to tell me to kick rocks by all means if you don't want to share but what's the rough cost of everything mod wise? I love the route you took with the truck for your son and would love to follow suite just trying to get an idea for prices. I know they vary.

Thanks. Your prototype and a little research made the decision easy. ;)

Awesome build!!! I'm picking up my 2019 TRD OR 4X DCSB in phoenix on Tuesday and driving it back to California. Really like the wheel and tire combo on the cement (same color I'm getting). Very inspiring for my build.

Did you get insurance for the mods? Always curious how that works cuz god forbids truck gets wrecked regularly you only get book value and zero for mods or am I wrong?

Yes it was for the package, but don't remember the exact...but it's also prorated much like the truck. Call your agent. I remember mine said it was easier/cheaper with a newly purchased truck. All States and Insurance Companies differ...so give'em a call.

It's Fire Season again...so my Son (FS now) left his truck with me while he's sleeping in the mud and chasing fires. Wow...I forgot just how good this thing turned out. Already has +30K on the clock so going to do ALL maintenance and have this thing cleaned up before he get's back. Thanks again everyone for all your help with this project!

If I may...dropping the truck off at the Dealership tomorrow morning to get some of the service done . Is there a consensus on prefered differential/s and transfer case fluid...over whatever what ever they use there?

    Thanks.

FTR...Just got back from Son's Wedding. The good woman he married also owns a Tacoma and did her College in Forestry as well...although she got to Master's. He has a mortgage in the NW now and has been a Government employee with FS and BLM as a Type 1 Hotshot this whole time. Also, his Tacoma has over 90K on the clock now and the very few things that have broke I mentioned on this forum.

I love it when real investments pay off good.
