I'd pay less than stock, but the next guy might pay more than stock.

Start at $36k and hope for $29k

The time to exit is now, the economy is likely to take a shit at some point and when it does people don't buy as many toys

I mean if you're willing to part ways with the SCS Ray 10 I'd be more than happy to take those off your hands :).

Do you really think the pump can go on forever? The Fed has been pumping billions into the repo market while people are still dancing in the ballroom, of the Titanic.

Realistically I'd do 30k max. And I say that mostly because these days you can get a brand new truck with zero mods for around 36k from the right dealer

$28-30k if you’re lucky. Most people don’t know enough about what mods you have, what the quality is of the parts and the quality of the installation. It’s a big risk to take on something that’s one of the largest purchases you make.

    less than that.

i was kicking around the idea of picking up a 2019 leftover. MSRP was 36.5. They quoted 31.1 to be fair, it was a manual with nearly zero options

Nice truck. 36.5 tops. I know there is a ton of money in it. If I were you, I’d look to maybe trade some parts, plus cash back, if you have the time.

You can always part out some of the mods so you won’t take as much of a loss. Leave the rest. I did this on some of my past vehicles. Like selling wheels and tires, of course this means finding a cheap replacement equivalent if the stocks don’t work with the lift.

The dream would be finding some guy with a brand new tacoma willing to swap parts and leave it at a shop to do it in a few days. Pay you decent for your parts, Shop takes a cut for labor etc. but that’s a dream. (Who has free time to leave their tacoma for a few days at a shop?...maybe someone with a beater/side ride)

    Good luck OP

Yeah I much rather not deal with it and take a hit for it. When I started to mod it I figured that I would probably take a big loss on most of it if I ever decide to sell. Never thought I would really sell it but been entertaining the idea lately since we want a trailer now.

Considering it was somebody else’s toy at first and you don’t know how hard they played with it, I would say 25-30k

Where your problem will exist is being lucky enough to find someone with the cash in hand to pay. People don't usually have that on hand and you can only get a loan on the value of the truck. Not to mention that people genuinely suck and won't want to pay you what it is worth is you are selling to a private party.

Ever dollar spent modding a truck is -1$ off the resale. It’s the cold hard truth. Spend $10k modding your truck, it’s probably worth $10k less than an unmodified truck of the same vintage.
