It certainly didn't stay that for the whole tank. That's just the first leg of a drive through northern Colorado.

Anyone have any real world experience with VF tunes? I been talking to them and got under $1,000 I can get the programmer and their 26 pack of Tacoma Tunes that I could then modify as needed.

    Anyone else use VF?

Previous fill up: 237.6 miles/13.89 gallons = 17.1 MPG. Tacoma trip computer measured 16.9. Pretty close.

I use an abacus and a No. 2 pencil. 4.0L, cruise set to 68 mph, 300 mile trip and fill it again at half a tank until the pump clicks off on it's own:

    23.5 MPG

Winter a little less, a good warm day a little more. I can live with that... It's a truck with all sorts of good, heavy stuff still in it from the design origin in 2005...

... and the aerodynamics of a 1972 F150. Not bad.

I get around 350 miles on a tank and am tickled when I can get over 20 mpg. I average anywhere from 17 and change to 21 and change. Mostly 18-19 cuz I run 75 some mornings. Over 65 and the R’s climb. Wish they had a 8 speed but can’t have everything. Not complaining about the MPG’s but would be nice to have a bigger fuel cell

Thought I’d add this to the discussion.

This was done with about 45 miles interstate at 72mph and the rest at ~60mph country roads. Tons of long rolling hills as I’m in KY.

Truck is a stock 6MT AC (even still have the factory toyo a30’s.)

200 mile round trip with a wedge style RTT over the cab. Took mostly highway the way down and averaged 21.6. On the way back I took all interstate and averaged 17.2. Might look into making a wind deflector for the front but honestly that’s not bad in my opinion. Some of you need to rethink your driving habits if you’re getting under 17-18 with a stock truck lol.
