Getting ready to pull the trigger on a new Sport. Truck will be my primary commuter (approx. 80 miles a day to work. Just wondering what I can realistically expect for mileage. Although it is mainly highway, there can be, and often is, quite a lot of slow traffic doing 10 - 20 MPH. Takes about 1:10 to go 37 miles (to give you some idea). Also looking for feedback on how the Sport rides (mostly smooth road) and wind noise from anyone that also commute with their truck.
    Thanks - Luxy

Depends on the driver, gas, behavior, and conditions.. so 15-20 MPG.

That depends greatly on the driver and the location.

I have a very mild lift, 265/75/16s, do mostly city driving, and while I don't speed per se I do like to get up to speed pretty damn quick.

I average 13mpg according to the dash display.

I have a dcsb 4x4 sport and drive about 30 miles round trip per day. Ride is smooth and quiet. I only have about 1800 miles on it and I average 16 to 18.

I've currently averaged 18.1 mpg over 7k miles. Driving is a mix of highway and city, at altitude of 5-6k ft.

When my truck was brand new and fully stock I had a similar commute. Traffic on the freeway so lots of stop and go. I was getting 20-23 mpg. But depends on how heavy you are on the skinny pedal.

50/50 city/highway by miles traveled, I’m averaging right at 20mpg over ~17k miles. 2017 SR DCSB V6 4x4, completely stock. I usually set my cruise at 65-70mph and drive moderately in town.

    Expect 7-9 MPG.

This way, you’ll be very pleased when you get 16 MPG.

I usually average 18.5, measured at fill-ups. More in town that highway driving. I'm not the first off the line at the green light, but not the last either, and I tend to speed a little (just being honest). Stock setup - V6/Auto 4x4.

I’m sure you’re aware but this is sort of dependent on we’re you live. When i first bought my truck last January using winter blend gas I was getting 17-18, summer gas was close to 20.

Than I did what everyone on TW does and made it into “my” truck...

Now I get 15-16... oh well!

I should have noted my boss has the identical truck to mine except it’s a Sport and a manual. He gets 20+. My OR just never came close to that.

Most of my driving is city/suburban. I consistently get around 20 mpg per tank full with some lucky trips (hit all the lights etc) going as high as 26/27. I'm pretty light on the gas peddle, and I do shut it down if I'm stuck at RR crossing. There's one that runs through the center of town. I don't do enough highway driving for a good review, but I do make one 40 one way trip (80 total) every month that involves about 3/4 of it on the freeways @ 70 mph+. Those trips register 24-25 mpg.

If you drive conservatively I'd expect you would at least get the published mileage. All bets are off if you do mods like lifts ore larger tires.

I drive easy, meaning I don't accelerate hard, speed, and I'm likely to coast before using the brakes if I know a stop is coming. My stock 2wd 2017 Limited gets pretty good fuel economy IMO.

21.7 for the first couple thousand miles, 22.5 for 24-25k or so, and over 23 since.
