It's nice to have a truck, but I always get used for moving shit all of the time. I want a shirt that says "Yes, I drive a truck. No, I will not help you move."

Just for a reality check, not wanting to sound too dour, but weigh your truck with you and the fuel you have .....those 2 count as payload. Your payload on the sticker isnt what you can haul in the bed...... its you , the wife the fuel the winch etc. So that 1200 you have ends up around 800-900 for example ,lower even.

My truck with 2000lb of gravel and some ass cuts me off.....not worth it , go rent a uhaul f250 imo,or borrow one.

Many many do make , I seen a lot who dont over the years. I doubt youll end up as a "blew out my axle bearings thread" but a few of these guys will change stories on you and say "ya shouldnt have done it man".

Realistic payload? GVWR-current curb weight. A $17 load to the dump has the weights on a reciept, good ball-park figure.

reviving an old thread here but we had the basement flood Thursday night with the horrible rain so I ran to lowes and picked up a pallet of top soil to use as sand bags around the sides of the house. 60 bags at 40# so roughly 2400lbs. I have TSB and Toytec ULK. I couldn't tell if it was on the bumpstops or not but it was pretty low. My headlights were shining in the trees. All I had was the camera in the cell phone so it wasn't a great quality shot and once I got back I was too concerned getting the bags out haha.
