Nope. Two trucks is too much. Between the insurance, maintenance and places to park it doesnt make sense.

    Agreed
Do you need the bed space? Really dont wanna stir up things "on the tacoma" forums haha. but My wife and I grabbed the FJ for camping and exploring trails. Worked out awesome. (no kids though...so the half doors are fine with us) If I needed a bed.....judging from your two picks...I would go with the DCLB. The sport package 4x4 will be just fine for what you are looking to do :thumbsip:

Yes I hate to sound ignorant, but you we are talking about the DCLB 4x4 right? Not just the Prerunner or Access Cab TRD Off-Road?

Believe me, I've given the FJ a lot of thought. I've never had a truck and have always gotten by just fine, but I think I might need the bed in the future. I will be fixing up a house down in San Diego and just life in general makes having a truck pretty convenient.

    Too many to list now.
The one you put up is the same one I've got. Can't get much better than that. All said and done I paid a bit over 30 on mine so I'd see if they've got wiglle room on that price. Seems kinda high to me....could be that we just have epic resale value though.

    accesscabs FTW,

plus they dont sell 6 speed with DCLB.

For desert the access cabs are lighter and i dont have to give people rides all the time

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
You already got the 4 Runner for space, so I would go AC, they look way better too. Just yesterday I hauled a 300lb fat kid in the back of mine for close to 200 miles and he didn't mind, it was a tight fit though!

    I didn't even know they don't make a TRD OffRoad in a DC/LB.
I love my double cab, would never consider going back to 2 doors, I really like the TRD seats though, so my vote goes for the DC/LB TRD Sport with lockers down the road.
Then you get a sick looking truck that caries your buddies like a car and handles most trails when you want to go venturing into the wild. Pretty much what I'm building but with out the long bed. When I need to carry plywood I just put the tail gate down and tie it in.
