I want to put larger tires on my 2005 DC TRD Sport (5' bed). I do not want to put a lift on it.

From reading I believe I can put 265/70/16 without a lift?

Will the 265/70/16 fit on the rims I currently own or will I have to buy new rims? If so what size?

Will doing this greatly decrease my mileage?

    Will it increase rollover potential?

    Thanks for the help guys!

It'll fit if you have 16" rims.

I have cooper 265/75/16 ATPs on my tacoma and they fit great.
    My average mpg is 18
    On highway I have had an average of 20 mpg if i don't break 75, if I do 80-85 it's 17-18

I think the TRD comes with 17" but i'll know more tomorrow. What does OEM stand for? I keep seeing it on the site.

    Any suggestions on tires?

If i have to get rims, any suggestions on those as well?

I have a set of 265/70-16 Michelins M/S2 on mine that replaced the original 245/75-16s that came on it. The Tire Size Calculator suggests that they're nearly the same diameter, so the speedometer error is minimal. (...going by GPS, mine was wrong before I switched; now it's about 1 mph off in the other direction). They fit just fine with no lift, no rubbing anywhere, and look a ton better. No noticeable change in mileage, although they are probably a bit heavier. No need to be any more concerned with rollover than with stock; they're no taller. I could be wrong, but I think TRD/ORs come with 265's.

265/70/16 is the factory tire for the TRD Off Road, it is the same overall diameter as the stock tire and 17" wheel combo that came on the TRD Sport, which I think was 265/65/17.

If you want to upsize by one size you need to go 267/75/16 or 265/70/17.
