My 03 quad cab has lost dome lights when door is open. Switch / light is working, but needs replaced. I have traced wires back to the interior fuse box. There is no ground coming out of the body controller going to the dome lights. I have read other have the same issue, so I'am not to surprised this is the problem. I pulled the board out of the fuse box and found a burnt resistor, problem is the numbers are burnt off. I'm about 90% sure this is the problem.

Here's the long shot, anyone have an old board that might still have the part number of the blueish grey resistor seen below. I know these types of parts are cheap, so I am trying my best to get this one back working.

Fuse box #82739-04022 Engineering drawings would be best, but I know they are really hard if not impossible to come by.

Thanks for the great site and hope to learn from others on here,

Have you tested resistor with an ohm meter to see if it's bad?
    100 ohms 1 watt resistor

Not yet, I will now that I have an idea what it should be. Don't know why I didn't when I had it out.

Resistors don’t usually get that hot without a good reason - have you checked for shorts elsewhere in the system?

Finally got time to measure my resistor, it's totally burnt out. I will replace it as soon as I get one and see what happens. Wouldn't be surprised if the dome light caused the issue. I rarely open the passenger side doors, and both drivers side doors operated the light till it quit. The truck just turned over 70K last month, this is the first issue I ever had with it.

Did you end up being able to fix it? Got the same issue and looking to try that since nothing else seems to be wrong with the circuit.
