Really poor gas mileage

    clean cut
    6" fabtec lift, 32 tires with spectrum filter and exoust tip
    ive recently bought a 2003 toyota tecoma sr5, automatic transmission, put a 6" fabtec lift on it with 32 " tires and I cant get above 14.5 mpg in town :( what is the normal mpg for these trucks get stock?

    20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
    with 6" of lift thats really not that low for city driving. Especially if you're anything but superrr easy on the skinny pedal.

    Im assuming you have the v6

    hmm.... 6 in lift, extra rotating mass and no re gearing... yeah your going to get less mpg.

    Also are you factoring in the fact that your ODO is now reading less miles.

    Normal milage for in town. Especially with the 6" lift.

    I cant imagine the 6" lift does much to your windage around town... I have 3" and 33s. v6 5spd. I still get 16 or so around town. Is you e brake sticking or a frozen caliper?

    Edit: Then again im on flat land, I have no clue what hills look like....

    Tune up your engine, add some extra pressure in your tires, coast more, and go easy on the accelerator. You'll get an extra 2mpg

    Like others have said...lift wont go much to MPG in town, but you need to take into account the larger tires and the rotational distance.

    Plus city driving, how hard you are on it, etc...
