I'm sure I'm asking a question that has been answered but can't seem to find it . I'm running 5100 standerd length shocks (0-1") in the rear am I fine to add a HS 1.5AAL? Don't want to over extend.

My 5100s were good from 0-2 inches of lift in the back.

If whatever 5100s you bought said only up to 1 inch of lift than 1.5 will prob over extend them. Most AAL add more lift than claimed.

This is what the part number brought up.

you should be fine, unless you are using your suspension to the full. Like crazy off camber rocks and ditches.

5100’s in the rear will overextend with stock springs. They seemingly took their specs off the stock damper which seems to be designed to take full droop hang

If you remove your damper and go to full droop it is about 1.5-2” more than with damper on

They don’t care cause people just buy more after the oil leaks all over.

If you don’t believe me try it yourself

They do make extenders. That said I haven’t messed with them for quite a few years

I wouldn't worry about it at all, unless you rock crawl or run hard trails, max extension is rare, and its not that bad, or we'd damage the shocks every time we lifted the trucks with jacks.
