What do you mean by "vibrating"? Is it something that you feel once per wheel revolution? Or is it something going faster than the wheels, say about 4 times as fast? Or is it faster still than that, for instance, once per ENGINE revolution?

If its as fast as the engine (about 16x wheel speed in 1st gear), then you probably wrecked your clutch.
If its 4x as fast as the wheels, then its probably transfer case, driveshaft, or differential drive gear.
If its the same as the wheels, then its differential driven gear, wheel bearing, or tire.

    No, I just hate cheaters...
You have insurance right? Do you think your rate is solely based on your driving skill? I hate those people who fake shit too.

Its probably a good idea for OP to actually find out what's wrong before you lay the guilt on him.
If it was me, I'd figure out what's wrong BEFORE taking it in, but not everybody has what it takes to do that.

If he tore a chunk out of one of his tires, they're going to find that and he's going to have to pay for it himself.
If he broke a tooth on a gear in the differential, then even though he was doing something.... fucking retarded.... it's really not his fault.

As a general thing, driving angry + breaking your ride = wasted money, and sometimes cops.
Are we adults, or not? Careful w/ your expensive and fragile, 2 ton battering ram.

    I get it....

He almost hit me, and I was nervous, shocked and angry. When someone is in a vehicle, it changes someone's emotional state probably because it is similar to a suit of power armor.

Had he bumped me into while walking on the sidewalk, I bet nothing would have happened.

    I learned my lesson.

I checked the tires, suspension and diff before taking it in. I didn't see anything that stood out.

Describe your “mad dog” face. Guy in the civic was obviously set-trippin, you can’t just let that go. Was it a little attitude like this
    7F8574B2-3492-4DDB-BA79-AEC2AFA30C73.jpg
Or was it a more aggressive mean mug like this

I have to know what your face looked like as you revved HELLA high

There's a big difference between "have never" and "have not.... recently". It is something that you can learn your way out of. Sometimes through your own experiences, and sometimes with the assistance of others who have already learned their way out of it. You see, when you go through a situation like that, you don't necessarily see all the different possibilities until someone reminds you of the ones you missed, and knowing that can help give you a better perspective on it the next time it happens.

In a way yes, in another way, no. The cop's job is to protect public safety -- you lose your rights when you threaten public safety so the cop works for *everyone else*, and you *probably* have to rethink your behavior if you ever get into a situation where you're tempted to say something like that to a cop, regardless of its validity.

It’s not fair to flame the OP for a single
maneuver that shouldn’t cause any damage. When people post these issues we should all take the story at face value until it doesn’t logically add up. As far as I’ve seen no reason so far not to believe the story he told is what happened.

Equally unfair to compare this issue to the previous threads where, for example, someone was spinning wheels freely in snow and cranking back and forth from drive to reverse. If I remember correctly one thread included a picture of a grenaded differential. Apples and oranges.

My guess is the axle slipped in the U-bolts & rotated up slightly resulting in bad pinion angle & the current vibrations.

Again, you have no clue and neither do I about what the OP was or was not doing. We also don't know what the damage is, if any.

I would not have even commented until he mentioned the diff was weeping and was thinking about using that as an excuse to have the dealer fix his new damage under warranty. That's what pisses me off.
