Hey guys, any help or advice would be appreciated. I have an 05 4wd manual transmission Tacoma. My wife got it stuck in the snow at our house today. When I got in it to get it unstuck she had it in 4lo and diff lock engaged. I couldn't get it out and it started to make a hard clicking noise in the rear of the truck. I had a friend come pull me out but now it won't shift out of 4Lo and the rear axle seams to be locked up or something. I think all tires are spinning except for the rear drivers side. When I go to move it in reverse or forward and makes the loud clicking and won't free up or move. Any advice?

Not sure about the clicking noise, but you have to have the clutch pushed all the way to the floor to get it out of 4Lo.

What happened to me on a recent wheeling trip, the rear drum got stuck and I smacked it with a bar and hammer and it worked great.

With age the actuator for the locker can get kinda seized. There is a way to open up the unit with the actuator on the diff and manually unlock the locker by hand. There is a thread somewhere here on TW on how to do it but I can't find it.
