Hey'o! Just curious if anyone has had any problems with the ABS and brake light being on. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed a new harness and sensor, after pulling the senor it had fluid on it so I'm assuming my axle seal and bering are shot if not close. After having a mechanic buddy call a master Toyota tech they're thinking along the same lines, has anyone had the dealership preform this work before and if it possibly cheaper to yank it all and take it into them "lose" and have them do everything but reassemble the axle? Thanks for your imput!

Parking brake light ON ? that usually means you are low on brake fluid.

Is it possible that liquid was brake fluid not oil ?

Fluid level is full...I pulled all the sensors that coded out and they're gunked up with fuild...all the electrical connections looked fine, no corrosion what so ever it's got over 200k on the truck and I'm thinking the rear axle guts are worn out and shot and having the sensors covered in fluid is what's causing the ABS and parking brake to come on. It's a pricey fix but if the dealer miss diagnosed it and charge me for a new harness and sensor and it doesn't fix the problem it'll be a reoccurring issue with the warning lights

Sounds like an axle seal failure.

The area where the tone ring is should not be filled with oil. Smell it, if it is gear oil you got a leaker. You should also verify that the vent on the rear differential isn't plugged. If it is plugged the rear differential will heat up and the pressure cannot escape and it will force oil past the seals.
