I have a 2021 Tacoma and after 1000 miles the rear brakes started making a clicking sound like they were out of adjustment. By 1500 miles the dealership replaced the brake shoes and drums as the drums were out of round. Within 50 miles the sound returned. The problem was elevated so that a Toyota Rep came out from Chicago and worked with the mechanics at Rochester, MN and determined it was a faulty axle, either bend, out of tolerance or mis-machined which they are replacing. Looking on-line I see there was a lawsuit against Toyota for potentially seeing defective axles in 2016-2018 models. Just a word of warning that the axle problem still seems to be out there.
