Should the rear axle have about 1-2 inches of play side to side? Is it normal for our trucks to do this? I just noticed it this week when someone said it looked like my truck wasn't centered.

I'm running the engage bed saver cage with the 50T. 1-2" might be an exaggeration but it noticeably moves side to side

I can see there being some movement but that seams like a lot of movement side to side. Could looks worst though cause 1 spring compressing more then the other would bring the wheel in. Most bushings have a 1/4" flange on them so thats 1/2" per set. I cant see there being more then a 1/4-1/2" of play with all the bushings working together. May consider a harder bushing as well. I know the cheap polybushings most include with suspension setups are pretty soft. I run a harder urathane bushing but its not as hard as delrin.

Talking to a couple of people you should not have that much movement side to side. With just my leafs and not axle I have about an 1-2 of side to side but the second I add the axle and bolt it all together I have VERY VERY little movement side to side. Like I said before you shouldnt have more then maybe an inch. My friend stated to me that only way you would get enough to pull the axle in articulation would require a high number of suspension travel like rock crawlers.
