Add a UV die to the diff. Drive 500 miles and check for leaks. Thatll prove exactly where the leak is, if it exists

This wont cause any issues in the diff by changing the viscosity of the gear oil?

Watch that video that I posted a link to, from 15 minutes to 17 minutes.

I would highly suggest looking at the rear diff vent. If the diff vent is rusted shut you will blow seals out again and again. It might be best practice to check this part at every oil change, replace this part every few years or relocate it like many people do.

This is very true and often overlooked! I checked this after my second one blew and it is good to go!

    Good insight!

Whaaaat if you pay for it then it will ALWAYS be done right! \s

I kind of feel bad for second guessing thier work but i have heard too many horror stories not to double check after any work is done on the vehicle.

You only add about 1oz or less. It's safe for transmission fluid which is essentially the same as diff fluid. Dealers use it. Don't see what harm it could be.

And in their defense:crapstorm:, if they just did the seals only/no bearings, they may have not noticed if the collars were in the correct position. They would have to get a tape measure out and check side to side.
