I finished my lift a couple of weeks ago and a guy at the shop I was using pointed out my rear wheels, the right one stuck out more than the left. I did a measurement that day and could not figure it out. So a couple of weeks have gone by, I thought I could get to the bottom of it, I'm running out of troubleshooting ideas.

-I have switched rear wheels thinking the new wheels I got at the same time as the lift might have different offset, and check numbers inside the wheel, they check out and the right still sticks out.

-I have measured my axle at various locations with the frame and seems to be symmetrical.

-I had a 4 wheel shop take a look when the truck was getting its alignment, did find the reason but said I shouldn't be a problem....not good enough for me!

Here are the pictures of what I am talking about:

It was like this the day I installed, I have since re torqued. None of my components loosened when I re-inspected.

That was my first thought, the ToyTec ULK had the shims, I was thinking the OME Dakars did not sit correctly, checked them out, they look great. So the axles are offset? That is very interesting! I did read an article about certain trucks (moslty american) with bar in the rear that needed to be adjusted or it would pull the axle to the right. We don't have that on our trucks though.

I was almost positive that's what is was. I have check the numbers stamped on the inside and swapped rear tires, no luck they all match! Plus I don't think the ATX Artillery come in any other offset.

Its a soild axle. Don't expect it to be perfect. My axle is not perfectly aligned, oohh well it can't be changed so why worry about it?

I remember reading a thread just like this one a while back, and it turns out the guy's bed wasn't centered. Had nothing to do with the axle.

Bingo! Many beds are off just a little bit. Measure the frame out at a fixed point on the bed, and make sure its aligned correctly.

Wow, really? Maybe I will do some searching and go that route.

EDIT: I just read the link above, that's probably my problem. Guess I will grab some torx and head back to the shop. Wow, thanks guys!

Its not a big deal. Loosen 6 bolts, and adjust if needed.

Is the front tire farther in on that side than the back?
