rear bearing SST?

    picked up a housing.
    Guy said it’s also useful to cut the ends making factory SST rear bearing press tool.

    if anyone can do that and wants to, DM let’s see if we can figure something out. I believe that means cutting and welding a plate. Way I see it the housing can be used to make two.

    I’m told this is stronger and better than actually buying an SST online for $150-200

    I don’t know if it matters 5 lug or 6 and how to tell what this is from.
    I just know it was from a more base model 3.58 RWD 2010 Taco, 8.4” open diff

    located in SD

    leafpack mounts appear to be SUA which suggests it’s from a 5-lug without fender flares. I’d guess that means 2” shorter but still fit 30-spline shafts
    So hopefully it would still work to be made into an SST. As I don’t see why that would matter.
