Just did my rears. Thanks for the help on this thread.
Two things Id add. If you have the replacement 4-leaf springs, have a scissor jack handy to spread the spring about 1" more than gravity will.
Makes install a bit easier! Second, the bottom bussing is a very tight fix. It was tough to get both sides to align. I had a 4" tapered brass handle
that I pounded in on both sides to get the sleeve aligned.

Does it matter if the black washer is on the bottom and the thick silver washer is on top?

Not sure if I’m in the right thread but i just put 5100s on my 06 trdOR AC last night. The suspension is all stock. I had to compress the 5100s a hell of a lot to get them in the bottom mount and the boot seem super compressed. I was under the impression they are good for stock ride height up to ~1.5” lift. Will they be too long for my stock leaf springs?

Just did my rears this weekend and stumbled on this thread to figure out how tf to use the assortment of washers supplied with the 5100s.

Took me longer to do these than the fronts because I had to sawzall the shaft off below the top mounting bolt. Screw people who paint over bolts with cheap undercoating. :annoyed:

Can you explain the Allen wrench head trick? I’m have problems getting the bolt started. For some reason my shock’s don’t have enough threads for me to get grip and I don’t want to grab the shaft of the shock and scuff it up. May just need to get rid of the third washer to make more room.
