I'm looking to get remote reservoir rear shocks, bilstein show different part numbers, but I can't find any information as to why. Hoping someone can shed more light than the bilstein America rep in that "they're different part numbers".

It's a stud loop shock, so the hose for the external reservoir shouldnt matter since you can just, turn the shock. And the non reservoir numbers are the same side to side.

Amazon shows a $50 difference in price, seems if the extra $50 is redundant, why pay it.

The rep said the length is the same, and the valving is "similar", so unless there's some drastic difference that I'm not seeing I'd hear it.

I suppose I should add, I am aware they're driver/passenger side number differences, why, is the question.

I'm not sure you understood the question, so I edited to make it just as clear as I know how.

Apparently I've narrowed it down to this little doohickey, anyone who's installed them able to identify it?

Driver & passenger side have different part numbers. That little doohicky is a bracket to extend the factory brake line for extended droop.

That's the spacer for the driver side brake line mount. Other than that piece the shocks are identical.

Nice, thanks fellas. Droop is such an under used term these days. I dont see any reason I can't rig up a spacer for the brake line for under 50 bux.

So, did you end up purchasing the same shock P/N? If so, how’d the brake hanger go?
