Bilstein 5100's, 285/75-16's, big steel front bumper, Jeraco mid-rise camper shell with rain gutter rail roof rack mounts 4ft cross bars, adjustable front upper control arms, small lift, cab corner delete, bed stiffeners, bed mat, yoga mat foam in tailgate grooves (knee saver), 84" roof cargo rack, uniden 980ssb with firestick antenna, wood sleeping platform on bed rail notches, led cab lights, chrome delete, 140mm computer fan on front camper top window.
Hey guys/gals, I have an '06 DCLB, bought a yr and half ago. It already had some modifications done, and I didn't think to save the list from the ad when I bought it. Occasionally I haul heavy crap in the bed (firewood, other heavy things). Upon brief inspection to see if my suspension is sick or not, it appears I may already have the HD spring pack on the rear. 4 leafs. 1 leaf broke recently, obviously looking to replace. Now the question is replace with the normal HD springs, or go even stiffer? I mean, could just get a bigger truck, but... different discussion.

My ride heights to fender are about 22" on front and 23"-ish on rear. No spacers or body lift. Front cab mounts are trimmed, 285/75-16's on it. Love the truck!

Would the Bilstein 5100's still work with that leaf pack?

Or, since I don't carry a load most of the time, would the EL096R's be too stiff for an empty bed? What about going with the EL095R's? How do those compare to the General Springs HD set?

I just ordered EL096s. Will be installing next week. I’ll let you know how they are compare to my exhausted stock leaf springs with a Deaver AAL. My stock springs took some serious abuse hauling a few thousand pounds from VA to FL in a move two years ago. 43 weapons, 3 safes and 22,000 rnds of assorted ammo. The 10mpg wasn’t fun either. Couldn’t send the weapons with the movers. Class III devices and weapons were NOT going with the moving boyz. The E rated KO2s were bomber.
