Sorry if wrong area to post.

Left rear bumper got bent and now can't open the tailgate. Any ideas to fix it before I tie it to a tree?

Remove tail light. Hook a chain to the bumper, CAREFULLY pull sideways until the bumper clears the tailgate.

You could likely use a lawn mower to do it [carefully] if you can't just use your arms and leg strength.

Looks like it's been that way for a little while now.

    Big hammer as suggested.

If you have other tools like a come-along, porta power, or hi-lift jack, you can try those first before using the truck's power to pull the bumper straight :notsure:

Hook chain to bumper, other end to tree or something substantial. Put truck in neutral and give it a series of pushes until it bends things back to their proper place.

I recently purchased a used bent bumper that has the same damage. I had to cut and relief the bumper where it bent in order to get it pull out. Then I re-welded it back in place. I'd say it is 95% there.
