It’s bent, you can see where it’s buckled. You may be able to adjust it up a bit but like said it will be weaker. For the 30 bucks I’d buy new brackets and call it a day.

Ha I have the same issue on mine. I've been thinking that I might be able to bend it back but if the mounts are only $32 I'll just buy those. Thanks for the link whoever posted it

Thanks, but why would Toyata make this model bumper adjustable in the first place? It bolts in...period. There isn’t any cutout on the bracket enabling a sliding adjustment. A jack and a two foot piece of plank. A five minute operation if it doesn’t raise the bed. I’m cash strapped and don’t ever plan on towing and am not the least bit concerned with metal fatigue. I’m try my way first. Thanks all.

Well...you will do what you want.

Be very careful. A jack, even with a 2' plank, can concentrate the load at the lift point. A very good way to deform the bumper at the contact point to make an inverted V shape.

Frankly, even cash strapped. You received $800, pull off $35 for mounts, leaves over $750 in pocket. F up the bumper then you blew your savings.

    Good Luck.

I see what ya mean by needing to have equal support across the bottom of the bumper before attempting a lift. That $800 was gone within minutes.

    Money talks...it says “bye.”
