My SR has pained bumper extensions in the rear (those corner pieces on the sides of the rear bumper). I work a lot in the city and see those getting scratched up quickly. I am looking for a way to replace those with something more scratch resistant. I saw one company that made a bumper cap cover that look like it was sprayed with line-x. (BumperShellz) That is an option but was wondering if anyone made a similar product where I removed the existing cap rather then cover it.

I do see some black bumper caps but the ones I saw seemed to just be unpainted.

Are those ones of the ones from rock auto? I assumed the black parts are prepped to be painted not to stay black. But now I see the have black ones and paint to match. I assume these might be the stock black?

What you have there is perfect.. this way I can pack the colored ones away and put them back if I ever stop working when I will get tapped daily

Yes, they are the Rockauto caps. There are some made to be painted but these are just black plastic.

I would assume steel bumpers are out of my price range. I just want an expensive way from keeping me from repainting those paint colored caps. A $500+ bumper would cost more then getting those caps painted a few times.

My main issue is the parallel parkers hitting the corners pulling out. In my old truck I had wrap around push bars in the front and metal bumpers in the rear. 99% sure I will get the rock auto caps and save the colored parts for future. Not sure if i will swap out the front for something more rugged.

Install rear dash cam. You’ll get a new paint job on them ever time... although, the cops may get annoyed with you always tracking down your hit and runs.
