I'm debating either painting my chrome rear bumper caps to match my Quicksand Taco or going with a new rear bumper. I’d like something that has a clean look, maybe even as close to a factory look as possible. I’m considering the TJM rear bumper. There is a thread on here about it but not a ton of helpful info that I could find. Is anyone running this bumper? If so, is this an easy install? Would the rock light kit require much additional wiring? I’d like to be able to take off the old and put on the new with as little hassle as possible because easy is right up my alley.

Are there any other good alternatives out there? The TJM (pic from Bumper Superstore) seems to be priced right and would not be a ton more than buying new bumper caps and having them painted.

    Any help would be appreciated.

TJM makes good products but I know very few people who have them.

There are a ton of bumpers out there. The install should be fairly easy

Just finished installing the tjm. Took me a few hours, wasn't too bad of an install at all. The holes that you have to drill in their brackets is a little tricky, a right angle drill would work nice due to tight spaces. I ended up using 4 of my own bolts/nuts to make things a little easier. Very nice quality for the price. Unreal how the stock bumper is constructed.

Anyone know what the open factory plug is for under the driver's rear area, right behind the spare?

The factory bumpers are almost all plastic, I wouldn’t attach anything to them

Have the OEM tow package. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. Didn't feel like pulling wire for bumper lights, but if there was factory wiring already there, I might do it.

Pretty easy install despite the vague instructions, took me 2 hours by myself. Super happy with it, now I just need to wire the lights.

I like the looks of the TJM and would consider it over the Fab Four bumper ,, but that “made in China” thing makes me uneasy . Chinese steel and powder coating ,, GREAT ! They can’t even get the weight right in their adds. Would like to see how it holds up after a couple PA winters with the salt a calcium chloride attacking it . There is another Chinese bumper out there that looks like a winner till you read the reviews . I would hope the Fab Four , being made in the USA , would be the wiser choice . Decisions decisions !

It seems Ca Tuned Off Road doesn't sell these bumpers any more but I've seen them around the web. However, I've seen $200+ in shipping fees and the lighting kit also north of $200. Has any one (or more) of you picked this bumper up recently that has the lighting kit and shipping included, yet still be an affordable price ($500-$600)? If not, where might a guy find some LEDs that fit for a more reasonable price?

    Thanks all!

If you decide to not get the LEDs made to fit the bumper, you can use the supplied blank so that there isn’t hole for them. I got the lights, and even though they are pretty good, they definitely aren’t worth that price tag. I assume that’s why they went for a unique (ish) size so that we would HAVE to buy them. I did look everywhere for that exact size online and never found them

Do you still have the dimensions of the LEDs by chance? AliExpress might have them or I'm sure Alibaba would have them somewhere.

    Thanks for the info!
