Ive had a set of these cheap 18w lights facing directly backwards for a while, and i really like them. The price point is down enough, ~$6/light, that i bought another set just to have as a spare.

I got to thinking, i could mount the other set facing a little more sideways.

Is anybody else running two set of rear bumper lights? If so, lets see them. Picture is just one side mounted.

Looks good, I was thinking of picking up a cheap set of leds for reverse lights. With the shell it's hard to see at night with the backup camera. These are cheap enough that I may actually do it. Thanks for posting, truck looks good.

    Thank you.

They are super easy to mount like this too. There are push screws that are holding the bumper caps to the bumper, pop them out, bore out the hole a little bit, and you've got the mounting holes.

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
I have also enjoyed these lights for my rear back up lighting. Unfortunately, they have only lasted 11 months and are almost completely burned out now. Time to replace.

The set that is facing rearwards has lasted about 18 months, and 1 of the leds is much dimmer then the rest, which is a failure rate that i can live with.

How did you wire these up?
I really want to get a set of good lights in the back...I live outside the city and lights are few a far between. Even backing into my driveway on a rainy night is damn near impossible.

Tap the reverse wire on the trailer harness, run that to pin 86 on your relay. Hook up the relay to power and ground. Run the power wire from the lights to pin 87 on your relay, run the - on the light to a chassis ground and youre done.

Basically when your standard reverse lights come on, it triggered the relay, which then supplies power to the LEDs.
