    Hey guys,

I have a 2017 Tacoma DCSB and was wondering if anybody else has seen this or had it happen to them.

Shortly after buying my truck I noticed the rear bumper wasn't aligned the same on both sides. I went to the dealership and they had to put it on the lift and take it completely off and reinstall it to get aligned right. They also kept asking if I got hit or if I hit something which I hadn't.:frusty:

I just rolled over 5000 miles and noticed it's not aligned again and the same side is sticking out. I looked under it to see if there was a anything loose or a way to fix it myself but didn't see anything. Everything I could find was tightened and the bumper itself was solid.

Has anybody else had this happen? If so did you find a way to fix it?

It also is way more noticable in person. The photo's make me look really OCD

Could certainly be an alignment issue with the bed, just have it checked out! Happened to my pops on his truck and that was the issue

90% of tacos are just like yours. It a piss poor deign combined with an equally piss poor assembly technique. So far it’s my only real complaint about my Taco. They could have every taco roll off the assembly line perfectly lined up but they cut corners to speed production and they don’t adjust them even though they could.

There is a little bit of play once you get the black step pad off. I think I loosened 4 bolts once under there. You may need to adjust each side a tad to get the two gaps to even out. Hardest part for me was popping the license plate lights out. And pulling the step pad requires a bit of force. Good luck. Pretty simple job with lots of info and step by step instructions available here.
