Has anyone here relocated the rear bumper with a 1 inch body lift? If so, can you please share how can I do it? Some photos will be highly appreciate it.

Are you talking about moving just the bumper up? Because that doesn't make sense.

Most folks either leave the gap or use a filler panel

When you look at how the bumper mounts to the frame you'll see why its not worth the effort to move 1"

This, and the gap is needed to lower the spare. That's what the rectangular cutout is in the middle of the gap.

It would be a decent amount of work to raise the bumper up, not saying you couldn't do it, but it might require some fabrication. Also, i'm not sure how much room there is between the tailgate and the bumper when the tailgate is down. It's very possible that it wouldn't open all the way with the bumper an inch higher.

Good info! It would be great to know if someone has managed to do it and could share the experience.

Did you read the entire thread?

    Side thought:

I wouldn't waste my time playing with the engineering of the bumper. They're made to absorb and reduce an impact on the name of safety. If you start hacking and tacking for aesthetics you've compromised the integrity of your safety device.
