It would be nice if a manufacturer would come up with a replacement piece for the plastic end cap. Yes, it would only be for appearances (or a little more clearance at best), but so is the OE end cap.

Here's my suggestion if you do go aftermarket. Made by Expedition One. Haven't had time to install yet. 20170127_163726.jpg

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
interesting, i have their front bumper. i see they have cutouts for the parking sensors which i dont think ive seen on any others. do they work with BSM?

edit; just noticed no receiver?? if they dont offer one thats a deal breaker..

Uses the factory hitch. Not sure if it works with BSM. I don't have that option so I just used the supplied plugs.

Just a general question since we are talking about replacing a bumper from being hit. If you have a non-original part installed on your truck, i.e an after market grill. Will insurance companies pay to fix your truck back to the way it was the day it was damaged? Or only original specs?

Read the policy. But it is usually to original spec.

Granted if you hit my steel rear bumper it is going to protect me and hurt you more than the original would have.
