Holly shit that's expensive. For that price you should be able to get a full wrap around bumper with dual swingouts.

For ~$400, you can get a bumper with shackle mounts, reverse light mounts, and body panel protection, which the above does not have. Yes, it's a weld together kit, but even if you pay a local fabricator $500 to do it (that's likely $300-400 too much, lol), you'll still in the black.

1/4" is WAY overkill. 3/16" is pretty standard, and 1/2" or bigger for the shackle/frame mounts.

    2. Since it's been offered, two(2) have been purchased. And then returned when the buyer realized that 1 in the front of price wasn't a typo. So really, zero(0)

I'm well pleased with my NWTI DIY rear bumper.

@jbrandt , nice bumper, now they need to make a matching front bumper for it, with a mounting platform for a winch.

Um... they do. Did you go to the website? They have a couple different ones.

I went with a CBI BIY kit, myself... (link in my build thread)

Best to buy their kits ASAP. Theyve gradually raised their prices throughout this past year.

I really like that one. What kind of coating does it have? I looked at the specs on their site.

Also it looks like you have a factory tow hitch installed with it, is that correct? Their site does not mention anything about that.

It is an aftermarket tow hitch, Draw-Tite, if memory serves. It has a slight bit of gap, as the bottom edge of the NWTI is a bit higher than the stock bumper. I used Rustoleum Bedliner on it. So far, so good on that.

If I can find a good welder in Chattanooga I'll probably go with the NWTI bumper with a similar coating as yours.

I like being able to keep my existing tow hitch.

However I'm completely out of my element here- never had anything welded or even thought about it before. I guess I'll start googling and cold call some shops asking for a quote.
