little bit of here and a little bit of that...
So I just noticed This yesterday, that my rear bumper is definitely off. And I’m pretty sure it came out from the dealer like this. What would you guys do? Would you try to fix this your self? Or take to the dealer to fix it? Would they try to say I did this to my truck? I bought back in november. Tacoma 2020.

I am positive I did not hit nothing, or no one has hit me, because I have a dash cam that records any incident 24/7. And videos save on any impact.

    driver side bumper slightly off.

If it were me I wouldn't worry about it. Your sensors work right? You'd have to be pretty anal to demand a fix for that. If it bothered me, I'd try and do it myself though. Time to get it dirty and use it so your OCD can focus on other imperfections. Something tells me everything will be OK.

My 2020 TRD OR that I picked up in Oct looks about the same. I also believe it came from the factory that way. When it warms up I plan to look into adjusting it myself.

My 2020 TRD Pro is the same as well.

Not the fit and finish I expected, but doesn't really bother me enough to do anything about it.

It's more or less accepted as a common thing on this generation. Many threads about it, even some with instructions on how to realign the bed. That said, with the sensors, doing that might throw them out of alignment.

I'd recommend doing what I did - get over it. Yeah, it's an expensive truck and all that; however, literally nobody will care or notice but you.

    Looks like it’s totaled.

If you want we can trade straight up - my 17 Sport has perfectly spaced bumpers.

Mine was just as bad as yours when I bought it last November. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it among a few other things. No questions asked.

Ehh. Yea nothing is perfect. Never bought a truck this expensive, so you expect it to be right. It’s not like I bought this used. Be real thou everyone, if you bought a brand new iPhone from Best Buy, and the screen was already scuffed up.... would y’all really be cool with that? Yea, I may go ahead and bring it to the dealer ship. Looks a lot more off then it does in the photos. I know what a truck is used for, but I know, y’all know, how new car syndrome feels. OCD kicked in I’ll admit

I complained to my local Toyota dealer, they made it perfect. They ordered $1400 worth of parts and fixed it under warranty. Now my OCD is satisfied:)

When my son put mudflaps on his 2019 I noticed one tire stuck out further than the other. A week later he traded back to Tundra.

Loosen the bolts and adjust it yourself.....I do agree with sloppy fit and finish off the lot being BS tho.

I'd check local scrap yards and see what they would give you for the truck.
